On Wednesday, 30 April 2014 at The Gallery on The Corner, at 7.30 pm a new exhibition called ‘Shakespeare’s Bitches’ will be on display.
This innovative and daring exhibition is the brainchild of emerging photographer, Victoria Baptiste. It tells the untold stories of Shakespeare’s leading ladies and displays a collection of collaborative images created and perfected over a period of six months. It is beautifully timed with the celebration of William Shakespeare’s 450th birthday on 23 April 2014.
Victoria said – “I wanted to bring to life the leading ladies from one of our greatest British playwrights as if they were living in society today; what issues they would have faced and the daily scenarios they may have come up against. I have always had a love for Shakespeare and with such an amazing collaboration with Inventiv, we were able to do just that.”
On Wednesday, the exclusive showing of this highly talented photographer’s work will take place both for the press and public at the The Gallery On The Corner on Battersea Road, London at 7:30pm. The evening will commence with canapés and champagne on arrival, with the opportunity to meet Victoria Baptiste herself and the team of creative artists that she put together to work with her behind this exhibition. I’ve worked with Victoria on a couple of occasion and know the team that she’s been working with very well – I’m proud to be a friend of this fabulous photographer and her team and my job will be in applying her makeup for her event, making her look even more gorgeous on the night!
